Step 2: Tap ‘Two-Factor Authentication’ (If you haven’t previously, set up Two-Factor Authentication)

Step 3: Select ‘Recovery Code.’
Step 4: Select ‘Generate Code.’
Step 5: Enter your password to confirm it’s you!
Step 6: Save your code and put it somewhere safe and accessible. 🔐

Note: Only your most recent recovery code will work.

How Log in using a Snapchat Recovery Code?

Steps to Log in into Snapchat account using Recovery Code:

Step 1: Launch the Snapchat app.
Step 2: Enter your username and password, then click ‘Log In.’
Step 3: Enter your recovery code when requested.

Warning 🚨 When you use your recovery code to log in, your device will immediately disable two-factor authentication. If you want to keep two-factor authentication enabled, go back into your settings and enable it again.

Note: Snapchat do not offer support for lost recovery codes 🚫

If you have activated Two-Factor Authentication and do the following, you will lose access to your account:

  • Somewhere you have lose your phone.
  • Recently you have changed your phone number.
  • You have reset your phone to its factory default settings.
  •  You have removed the original Authenticator App that was used to configure Two-Factor Authentication.
