How to Use Dynamic Island iPhone 14

The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max are the only devices compatible with the Dynamic Island. The identical notch from the iPhone 13 models is still available on the regular iPhone 14 models.

The Dynamic Island can also show several background activities simultaneously, such as when a timer is running out while music is playing.

On the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, you can monitor alerts and current activity in progress—such as music, a timer, an AirDrop connection, and Maps directions—in the Dynamic Island on the Home Screen or in any app. When you unlock your iPhone, the Dynamic Island appears.

As a result, you can view and engage with both activities as the island divides into a bigger pill-shaped region and a smaller circular area. Similar to how you can with the default Dynamic Island interface, you can switch between them and tap into them.

Apple decreased the phone’s footprint by about 30% and tried to get rid of the notch on the new iPhone 14 Pro. This black spot, which resembled a pill, sat in the center of the screen, but instead of sitting there doing nothing, it employed software to change its size and shape in response to events.

Face ID expands to reveal your entire face during setup and guides you through the registration procedure. When attempting to make a payment, your card will slide down and expand. Hence, that is the Dynamic Island feature in iPhone pro.

There are two methods to play with the Dynamic Island. While something is occupying the Dynamic Island, a tap will launch the respective app and a long press will expand the Dynamic Island.

If you are recording a voice memo, for instance, you can long hold on the Dynamic Island to show the stop button. It will store the recording if you tap it. This is significantly more convenient than launching the complete Voice Memo app.

If you simultaneously initiated a screen recording, the recording status would be presented in the larger bubble, while the screen recording icon would be displayed in the secondary, smaller bubble. You can tap or long-press on either as you could previously.
